Outpatient day treatment

One program. Two locations.

Clear Steps is an outpatient day-treatment program. Whether your insurance bills it as PHP, IOP, or standard outpatient, you come to the same building, see the same clinicians, and step down through the same continuum as you stabilize. Pick your location below.

How our outpatient program works

PHP, IOP, and OP are not separate programs. They're how the week is billed.

You come into the same building, work with the same clinicians, follow the same care plan. As you stabilize, the schedule lightens — fewer days, fewer hours — and the insurance billing tier shifts from PHP to IOP to OP. You don't switch programs; the program steps down with you. MAT runs alongside any of these tiers when clinically indicated.

Billing tiers inside the program

What PHP, IOP, OP, MAT, and Aftercare actually mean here

Same building. Same clinicians. The label changes as your week changes — that's the only difference.

Partial Hospitalization (PHP)

Available in NH

What the week looks like
Most days, full clinical hours.
Who it fits
Stepping down from inpatient, or your week needs the most structure we offer outpatient.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP)

Available in NH

What the week looks like
Several days per week, partial days.
Who it fits
You can hold a job or be at home most of the week, but you need real treatment time.

Outpatient (OP)

Available in NH + MA

What the week looks like
A handful of sessions per week.
Who it fits
You're stable enough that lighter weekly contact is the right level — usually after PHP or IOP.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

Available in NH + MA

What the week looks like
Runs alongside any of the above.
Who it fits
Opioid or alcohol use disorder where Suboxone, Vivitrol, or naltrexone is clinically indicated.

Aftercare

Available in NH + MA

What the week looks like
Weekly group plus check-ins.
Who it fits
You finished primary programming and want to stay connected as you reintegrate.
